Denmark’s Into The Darkness bagged the Golden Peacock at the 51st International Film Festival of India (IFFI) which came to an end on 25th January in Goa. Assamese film Bridge was the sole Indian film to win an award. It got a special mention of the jury for bringing to life the pain of Assamese villages which face hardships due to annual flooding. Taiwan’s The Silent Forest bagged two Silver Peacocks — for best director (Chen-Nien Ko) and best male actor (Tzu-Chuan Liu).
