A fire broke out on the sets of Zee TV’s serial, Kumkum Bhagya, today (18th July). The show was being shot at Killick Nixon Studio. It is being produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms. No loss of life or property was reported but shooting came to a standstill.
The cause of the fire is still not known but it may likely be due to short circuit. It may be pointed out that Balaji Telefilms’ Kasautii Zindagii Kay was also being shot at the same studio but when actor Parth Samthaan from the serial contracted coronavirus, the shooting had to be stopped and the studio had to be shut down. The studio reopened recently after a three-day closure. Kumkum Bhagya stars Shabbir Ahluwalia, Sriti Jha, Mugdha Chaphekar, Krishna Kaul and Reyhna Malhotra (who very recently replaced Shikha Singh).
