Writer-producer-director-actor and Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim on October 12 sought the Panchkula special CBI court’s leniency in the Ranjit Singh murder case, on medical grounds and on the ground of good work done by him. Special CBI judge Sushil Kumar Garg deferred pronouncement of the quantum of sentence to October 18 as the defence is yet to complete its arguments on quantum of sentence.
The court had on October 8 convicted Gurmeet Ram Rahim and four others in the case. One more accused had passed away during the trial last year.
