The Telangana high court on January 22 quashed the censor certificate given to Ram Gopal Varma’s Telugu film Vyooham. It is a biopic on Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. The quashing follows a plea by the Telugu Desam Party that the film defamed its leader, N. Chandrababu Naidu.
The court directed the Central Board of Film Certification to examine the issue afresh within three weeks.
