The release of Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha has been postponed once again. The film, directed by Advait Chandan, will now hit the screens on Baisakhi next year — April 14, 2022.
Based on a screenplay by Eric Roth, the film has been adapted for India from Hollywood film Forrest Gump, by Atul Kulkarni. It is produced by Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao (under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions) and Viacom18 Studios.
It may be mentioned here that the film was originally scheduled for release on December 25, 2020. However, it was postponed by a year (to December 24, 2021) due to the COVID-19 pandemic which broke out in March 2020. The release was once again shifted to February 11, 2022. But the producers have now announced its further postponement, this time with a new poster.
