All the new star cast releases of this week, including PHONE BHOOT, MILI and DOUBLE XL, opened to dismal houses yesterday (November 4). The Hindi dubbed version of Kannada film BANARAS was also a non-starter.

Ram Setu could not sustain during the weekdays in its second week, after its first week of three days. The second weekend began with a take of Rs. 6.09 crore on Friday. Collections on Saturday and Sunday were exactly the same, the jump being minimal. It netted Rs. 7.30 crore on each of the two days so that the second weekend closed at Rs. 20.69 crore. Collections on the weekdays were rather poor: Monday – Rs. 2.45 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 2.05 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 1.60 crore, Thursday – Rs. 1.40 crore. In this way, the total for the weekdays was Rs. 7.50 crore only. Total for 2nd week: Rs. 28.19 crore. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 63.63 crore.
Thank God fared terribly in its second week after a dull first week of three days. The second weekend saw the film collecting Rs. 2.50 crore on Friday, Rs. 3 crore on Saturday, and Rs. 4 crore on Sunday. Therefore, the total for the second weekend was Rs. 9.50 crore. Collections for the weekdays were pathetic: Monday – Rs. 1.30 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 1.20 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.90 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.75 crore. Therefore, the total for the weekdays was a dismal Rs. 4.15 crore. Total for 2nd week: Rs. 13.65 crore. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 29.60 crore.
Black Adam (dubbed and original English versions) dropped by around 70% but still did fairly well in its 2nd week. The second weekend began with a take of Rs. 1.51 crore on Friday. Collections for Saturday and Sunday increased to Rs. 2.28 crore and Rs. 2.33 crore respectively, taking the second weekend’s total to Rs. 6.12 crore. Collections for the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 0.98 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 1.03 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.67 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.64 crore. Total for the weekdays, therefore, was Rs. 3.32 crore. Hence the total for 2nd week was Rs. 9.44 crore. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 43.33 crore.
Kantara (dubbed) did phenomenally well in its third week too. The third weekend began with a net collection of Rs. 2.88 crore for the Hindi dubbed version and the original Kannada version put together, in North India. Collections on Saturday shot up to Rs. 4.21 crore. The Sunday total was slightly better at Rs. 4.51 crore. Therefore, the third weekend’s total was a fantastic Rs. 11.60 crore. Collections for the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 2.37 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 2.10 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 1.81 crore, Thursday – Rs. 1.77 crore. In this way, the total for the weekdays was Rs. 8.05 crore. Hence the total for the third week was Rs. 19.65 crore which is slightly better than the total for the second week and far more than the total for the first week. Grand total for 3 weeks: Rs. 53.59 crore.
Har Har Mahadev (Marathi) continued its victory march in 2nd week in many parts of Maharashtra.
