‘QAID – NO WAYYY OUT’ REVIEW | 23 February, 2024

Kunishka Productions’ Qaid – No Wayyy Out (A) is the story of gay love.

Sonia W. Kohli’s story is bold but it holds limited appeal. Her screenplay does not offer as much shock value as her story. The incidents don’t add much to the thrill element. Her dialogues are routine.

Tai Khan is good as Mihir. Mohinder Mohan Kohli does well in the role of Jigar. Ashwini Kinhikar is alright as Dimpy. Ashish Datta lends fair support as Raj. Sonia Goswami is so-so as Jigar’s mother. Khalid Mehmood is okay as Jigar’s father. Others are barely passable.

Sonia W. Kohli’s direction is dull. Suneesh K.S.’s music and Sonia W. Kohli’s lyrics are functional. Oscar Moreno’s camerawork is quite nice. Nikita Jaitly’s art direction is okay. Priyank Yadav’s editing is loose.

On the whole, Qaid – No Wayyy Out does not have much of a chance at the box-office.

Released on 23-2-’24 at Glamour (daily 1 show) and 1 other cinema of Bombay thru August Entertainment. Publicity & opening: poor. …….Also released all over.
