SC STAYS HC HEARINGS ON OTT PLATFORMS | 24 March, 2021

The Supreme Court yesterday (23rd March) stayed proceedings pending before different high courts on the issue of regulation of OTT platforms. A bench, headed by Justice D.Y. Chandrachud, passed the order after solicitor general Tushar Mehta informed the apex court that despite its earlier order issuing notice on the transfer plea filed by the Centre to club all such petitions filed in various high courts, the Punjab and Haryana high court was proceeding in the matter.
