Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has appointed Disney Star’s Gaurav Banerjee as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The present CEO, N.P. Singh, had announced his intention to quit last week after serving Sony for 25 years.
Gaurav was in charge of Hindi entertainment at Disney Star and also looked after Disney+ Hotstar, and served as business head for Star Bharat, Hindi and English films, kids and infotainment, and regional (East) channels.
