Srijit Mukherji will step into the shoes of director Rahul Dholakia and complete Viacom18 Studios’ Shabaash Mithu, a biopic on Indian woman cricketing legend Mithali Raj. Dholakia, according to the company’s press release and as per his own statement, will not be able to continue with the film as he has to move on to his next. The lockdown played havoc with the shooting schedules of Shabaash Mithu as it did with a lot of other films. Hence a new director had to be brought on board.
