BOLLYWOOD BATS FOR BMC TO RAISE CLEANLINESS RANK | 17 January, 2020

Bollywood has associated itself with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to promote voting for the ongoing Swachh Survekshan 2019-20 among people in Bombay. Of the over 1.2 crore population, only 98,629 have voted on the city’s cleanliness quotient so far. Stars like Salman Khan, Ajay Devgan, Sonam Kapoor, Vivek Oberoi and Sonali Bendre have tweeted the #SwachhSurvekshan2020Mumbai poll link and have asked people to vote about their feedback on cleanliness either on the Swachhata helpline (1969) or the app or website on parameters like condition of public or community toilets, cleanliness of public or commercial areas, waste segregation and awareness of Swachh Survekshan.

Last year, Bombay ranked 49th as far as users of Swachhata app and feedback were concerned.
