COEAI HOPEFUL OF AID FROM INDUSTRY, HELP FROM GOVERNMENTS | 17 April, 2020

The Cinema Owners Exhibitors Association of India (COEAI) has drawn the attention of the central and state governments to a proposal it had submitted to them, under which they don’t have to shell out money to help single-screen cinemas in most of the demands placed before the governments. The Association has expressed anguish over the closure of single-screen cinemas during the lockdown alongside everything else and has said that a big number of single-screen cinemas will be forced to close down without help from producers, distributors and service providers like UFO Moviez etc. It is hopeful that the state and central governments will take action on its proposal submitted before the COVID-19 lockdown.
