Veteran music director of Oriya films, Basudev Rath, passed away on 9th April at a hospital in Cuttack due to an illness. He was 68. Rath had been keeping unwell since a month and was admitted to SCB Medical Hospital around 18 days back. He had composed music for a number of films. He started his career with Sakhi Gopinath (1977). He had scored music for over 100 films and music albums.
