Veteran Marathi playwright Ratnakar Matkari passed away on 17th May in Bombay at Seven Hills Hospital because of coronavirus. He was 81. His last rites were performed at the Bhoiwada crematorium in the presence of his family members.
Matkari wrote a number of plays, books of short stories, novels and poems. He also directed the Marathi film Investment (2013), starring Tushar Dalvi, Supriya Vinod, Sulbha Deshpande, Sanjay Mone, Sandeep Pathak, Bhagyashri Pane, Praharsh Naik, Soham Kolvankar and Milind Pathak.
