SRK OFFICE BUILDING OFFERED FOR COVID PATIENTS, LYING UNUSED FOR MORE THAN A MONTH, FINALLY PUT TO USE | 31 May, 2020

Deepvan, the four-storeyed office building which Shah Rukh Khan more than a month back offered to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for converting into a COVID care centre, was lying unused as the BMC had no staff to man the centre. The office had been equipped with 22 beds by the actor’s NGO, Meer Foundation, but lack of medical and para-medical staff to run the centre had forced the BMC to keep it unused.

The BMC on 29th May finally opened the office-turned-care-centre and moved six COVID-19 patients in on 29th May. The medical staff has been sourced by the BMC from Hinduja Hospital.
