Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta and other Indian Premier League (IPL) team owners have written to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) that its decision to cut the play-off prize money in the IPL by 50% will lead to significant and unexpected financial complications. The letter was addressed to IPL governing council chairman Brijesh Patel.
