TAMIL, TELUGU FILM INDUSTRIES DOWN SHUTTERS | 20 March, 2020

Like Bollywood and the rest of the film industries of the world, the Tamil and Telugu film industries of South India have also come to a forced halt. Shootings have been cancelled and film releases stand postponed as social distancing has been said to be the best way to combat the coronavirus.

Mohan Krishna Indraganti’s Telugu film, V, was scheduled to release on 25th March but now stands postponed indefinitely. Similarly, Hemanth Madhukar’s Nishabdham will not hit the screens on 2nd April. Eros International has also deferred the release of its trilingual — Haathi Mere Saathi (Hindi), Kaadan (Tamil) and Aranya (Telugu). The films were to have released on 2nd April.
