‘PREVENTER’ REVIEW | 26 September, 2025

Thespian Pixtures’ Preventer (UA) is the story of Ram Srivastava, a former IFS officer, who quits his job after a devastating incident. He now works in the IT sector. His life is shattered when his uncle, a RAW spy, is killed by a cyber terrorist organisation. To add to his tale of woes, he is framed for the murder. He also gets to know about an imminent attack on the nation. Ram now takes recourse to all the skills he had abandoned, to save the country and to clear his name.

Mohan Prasat has written a story which is quite predictable. His screenplay beats the treaden path and offers excitement at only a few places. His dialogues are routine.

Mohan Prasat is average as Ram Srivastava. Ghazal Ansari is so-so as Sanjana Singh. Rishi Ashok Mehta passes muster as Johnny. Others are barely passable.

Mohan Prasat’s direction is dull. Vikrant Kichingia’s music is below the mark. Camerawork is functional. Amit Aanand’s editing leaves a lot to be desired.

On the whole, Preventer will be unable to prevent a red mark in its box-office report card.

Released on 26-9-’25 at Glamour (daily 1 show) and other cinemas of Bombay thru August Entertainment. Publicity & opening: poor. …….Also  released all over. Opening was dull everywhere.
