Well-known art director and production designer Rajat Poddar passed away this morning (28th September) following heart attack in London. He was part of the Housefull 5 crew which was shooting in various cities and countries of Europe, including London, Spain and France. His wife was with him at the time of his demise.
Rajat Poddar had done the art direction and production designing for many films among which are No Problem, Jannat, Woh Lamhe, Awarapan, Gangster, Kalyug, Zeher, Murder, Murder 2, Kites, 1920, Barfi!, Phantom, Gunday, Grand Masti, Jagga Jasoos, Pathaan, Fighter, Dream Girl, Dream Girl 2, Judwaa 2, Baaghi, Satyaprem Ki Katha, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Bunty Aur Babli 2, Coolie No. 1, War, Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, Aashiqui 2, etc. His son, Parijat Poddar, had also teamed up with him and the two worked jointly in several films in recent years. At the time of his death, he was associated as art director or production designer in War 2, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 etc.
