Tension prevailed at the Jubilee Hills residence of actor Allu Arjun in Hyderabad on December 22 after six people, claiming to be associated with Osmania University Joint Action Committee, barged into his home and resorted to vandalism. The protestors shouted slogans against the actor and scaled the compound wall to hurl tomatoes at the mansion. They also damaged flower pots. They then staged a sit-in outside the house, demanding justice and compensation of Rs. 1 crore for the family of the woman who was killed in the stampede on December 4 during the premiere of Allu’s Telugu film, Pushpa: The Rule Part 2, at Sandhya cinema in Hyderabad. The show was attended by the star, which led to a stampede. The six were later arrested.
Allu Arjun was reportedly not at home at the time of the incident.
