VIVEK AGNIHOTRI OFFERS TO SCREEN ‘THE BENGAL FILES’ FOR MAMTA BANERJEE | 29 August, 2025

With just a week to go before his The Bengal Files hits the screens, producer-director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri (in picture below) has reached out to West Bengal chief minister Mamta Banerjee (seen on left in photograph below) to show her the film. The last in the Files trilogy, The Bengal Files talks about the 1946 Great Calcutta Killings and the Noakhali riots and has already created a stir in West Bengal. Its recent trailer launch in the state met with a lot of opposition from Mamta Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress.

According to Agnihotri, his film is for all people. He said, he would be extremely happy to show the film to Mamta Banerjee.
