LAALO: KRISHNA SADA SAHAAYATE (Gujarati) and ROI ROI BINALE (Assamese) are killing it at the box-office. They have left behind all the running Hindi films too, in the box-office race! LAALO…, now in its fifth week, is marching from glory to glory and is destined to become the biggest ever blockbuster of Gujarati cinema. Its collections picked up from the 21st day and what started at a few lakh rupees per day is now netting in crores every day! By the end of the fourth week, it had crossed the Rs. 13-crore mark. ROI ROI BINALE has already turned out to be the biggest Assamese blockbuster at the end of the first week, surpassing the entire lifetime’s collections of the previous biggest blockbuster, SRI RAGHUPATI.
The Taj Story started slow but picked up quite well in the first weekend. Collections during the weekdays were also decent. The film netted Rs. 1.10 crore on the first day. Collections jumped to Rs. 2.25 crore on Saturday, and further to Rs. 3.10 crore on Sunday. Therefore, the first weekend closed at Rs. 6.45 crore. Collections for the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 0.95 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 1.35 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 1.40 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.85 crore. In this way, the total for the weekdays was Rs. 4.55 crore. Therefore, the first week closed at an impressive Rs. 11 crore.

Single Salma bombed all over in 1st week, recording terribly low collections.
Thamma dropped badly in the second week after an impressive first week. Yet, it managed to reach a total of almost Rs. 130 crore at the end of the second week. The second weekend started with a take of Rs. 3.10 crore on Friday. Collections increased to Rs. 4.15 crore on Saturday. The total for Sunday was Rs. 4.95 crore. After a second weekend total of Rs. 12.20 crore, collections for the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 1.25 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 1.95 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 1.55 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.90 crore. In this way, the total for the weekdays was Rs. 5.65 crore. Hence the second week closed at Rs. 17.85 crore. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 130.87 crore.

Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat was super-steady at medium collections in 2nd week. The second weekend started with a net collection of Rs. 2.35 crore on Friday. Collections on Saturday went up to Rs. 3.15 crore, and on Sunday, to Rs. 3.75 crore. Therefore, the total for the second weekend was Rs. 9.25 crore. The weekdays reported collections as follows: Monday – Rs. 1.60 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 2 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 1.75 crore, Thursday – Rs. 1.20 crore. Hence the total for the weekdays was Rs. 6.55 crore. In this way, the second week closed at Rs. 15.80 crore. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 72.95 crore. Excellent!

Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1 (dubbed) collected Rs. 1.05 crore on the first day (Friday) of the fifth week. The totals for Saturday and Sunday were Rs. 1.75 crore and Rs. 2.05 crore respectively. After a fifth weekend total of Rs. 4.85 crore, collections for the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 0.60 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 0.95 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.90 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.60 crore. With the total for the weekdays being Rs. 3.05 crore, the fifth week closed at Rs. 7.90 crore. Grand total for 5 weeks: Rs. 220.54 crore.

Punha Shivajiraje Bhosale (Marathi) did fair business in the first week in Maharashtra.
Well Done Aai (Marathi) did not do well in 1st week in Maharashtra.
Tu Maza Kinara (Marathi) fared poorly in 1st week in Maharashtra.
Premachi Goshta 2 (Marathi) dropped markedly in the second week all over Maharashtra and did below-average business.
Chaniya Toli (Gujarati)
did terrific business in Gujarat and Saurashtra all through the first week of 10 days. After netting Rs. 3.72 crore on the first three days (Tuesday, October 21 to Thursday, October 23), the film collected Rs. 1.52 crore on Friday. Collections increased to Rs. 1.64 crore on Saturday, and further to Rs. 1.68 crore on Sunday. In this way, the first 6-day weekend closed at Rs. 8.56 crore. Collections for the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 0.83 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 1.02 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.81 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.68 crore. Therefore, the total for the weekdays was Rs. 3.34 crore. In this way, the first 10-day week closed at Rs. 11.90 crore.
Laalo: Krishna Sada Sahaayate (Gujarati) did extraordinarily well in 4th week. It started the fourth weekend with a net collection of Rs. 0.38 crore on Friday. Collections on Saturday increased to Rs. 1 crore whereas the total for Sunday was Rs. 1.85 crore. After a weekend total of Rs. 3.23 crore, collections for the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 1.75 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 2.35 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 2.75 crore, Thursday – Rs. 2 crore. With the total for the weekdays being Rs. 8.85 crore, the fourth week closed at Rs. 12.08 crore. Grand total for 4 weeks: Rs. 13.20 crore. The film is all set to break the records of every past Gujarati film and emerge as the biggest blockbuster of Gujarati cinema! The public is repeating the film in a big way!!
