Veteran Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi film producer R.B. Choudary was killed in a road accident in Udaipur yesterday (5th May). He is survived by his wife and four sons. Tamil film actors Jeeva and Jithan Ramesh are sons of R.B. Choudary. Top South actors Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan paid tributes to the prolific producer.
Among the films Choudary had produced under his Super Good Films banner are Nattamai, Suryavamsam, Poove Unakkaga, Puriyaadha Pudhir, Aanandham, Thirupaachi, Samudhiram, Thithikudhe, Love Today, Thullatha Manamum Thullum, Shahjahan, and Jilla. Maareesan, starring Vadivelu and Fahadh Faasil, was the last released film of Choudary.
In a career spanning more than four decades, R.B. Choudary produced 99 films, several of which were hits. He introduced around 34 directors, including K.S. Ravikumar, Vikraman, S. Ezhil, Rajakumaran, Sasi, and Ravi Maria.
