Zee Entertainment Enterprises CEO Punit Goenka indicated in an analyst meeting that he was open to evaluating proposals to demerge Zee Music and inducting a strategic partner to unlock value in the business. Speaking to analysts during the company’s fourth-quarter earnings call, Punit said that Zee could consider separating its music division into an independent entity if a suitable strategic investor came on board.
Operationally, Zee Music continued to expand its footprint during financial year 2025-26. The label added over 12 million subscribers during the year and strengthened its content library by acquiring rights to 41 Hindi songs and 43 songs across regional languages. Zee Music has around 176 million subscribers on YouTube, making it one of the largest music channels on the platform globally.
