The Haryana government on May 26 granted another 30-day parole to actor-writer-producer-director and Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh who is serving 20 years in prison for raping two women disciples and killing two persons. This is his 16th parole since 2020 and his second in 2026, after a 40-day parole from January 5 this year.
Ram Rahim, convicted by a special CBI court in Panchkula in 2017 and jailed since August that year, has spent over 400 days outside prison.
