This week’s WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE opened on Thursday (June 25) in the evening shows to ordinary houses. It netted around Rs. 3.75 crore on the first day. The opening on Friday was average but collections picked up as the day progressed.

Cocktail 2 found acceptance among the city-bred youth mainly. The film netted Rs. 9.25 crore on the first day. Collections on Saturday increased to Rs. 12.75 crore. The total for Sunday was Rs. 14.25 crore. After a first weekend total of Rs. 36.25 crore, collections on the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 4.25 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 4.50 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 2.85 crore, Thursday – Rs. 2.15 crore. In this way, the total for the weekdays was Rs. 13.75 crore. Hence the first week closed at Rs. 50 crore. If the block bookings (by the people associated with the film) are taken into consideration, the total for 1st week was Rs. 62 crore.

Hum Angrezon Ke Zamane Ke Jailor Haii proved to be a non-starter in the first week.
Balan – The Boy (dubbed) bombed in the first week.
Toy Story 5 (animation; dubbed and the original English versions) did fair in the first week. The collections of the Hindi dubbed version, as expected, were not even 25% of the original English version. While the film collected around Rs. 4.50 crore in the first weekend, it collected Rs. 2.50 crore during the weekdays. Therefore, the first week closed at Rs. 7 crore.

Main Vaapas Aaunga, which did average in the first week, did extraordinarily well in the second week, showing a remarkable jump in collections. Net collections in the second week were almost double of what they were in the first week. It fared the best in Delhi-U.P. and East Punjab circuits. The second weekend started with a take of Rs. 2.50 crore on Friday. Collections on Saturday more than doubled so that the day closed at Rs. 5.15 crore. The total for Sunday was Rs. 6 crore. Therefore, the second weekend closed at Rs. 13.65 crore. Collections for the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 2.40 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 2.85 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 2.35 crore, Thursday – Rs. 2.25 crore. With the total for the weekdays being Rs. 9.85 crore, the second week closed at Rs. 23.50 crore. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 35.40 crore.

Haunted Echoes Of The Past crashed in 2nd week. It netted only Rs. 1.25 crore in the second week. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 13.10 crore.

Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai is in its last lap.It added only Rs. 1.75 crore to its kitty in its 3rd week. Grand total for 3 weeks: Rs. 48.35 crore.

Ghabad-Kund (Marathi) performed very well in the first week in Maharashtra.
Cup Bashi (Marathi) could not score in the first week in Maharashtra.
Drushya-Adrushya (Marathi) failed to find acceptance in Maharashtra in 1st week.
Tumbadchi Manjula (Marathi) continued its victory march in the third week in Maharashtra.
Deool Band 2 (Marathi) did very well in the fifth week too in Maharashtra.
