The Cental Board of Film Certification has issued a strongly-worded advisory to producers: An announced release date will no longer get a film faster CBFC clearance.
The advisory, dated October 26 and signed by CBFC CEO Rajendra Singh, applies to all producers seeking certification of their films.
The advisory says that only the completed final version, including the censor certificate slate, should be submitted for certification. All documents should also be submitted along with the application, and all formalities should be complete. A film’s title can be reviewed or changed by the CBFC’s examining and revising committees, the advisory adds.
