Pagalpanti did not get much public patronage as the comedy failed to truly entertain. It netted Rs. 5 crore on the opening day, considered low. Collections picked up on Saturday (Rs. 6.30 crore) and more on Sunday (Rs. 8.20 crore). But after a weekend total of Rs. 19.50 crore, collections kept on dropping during the weekdays: Monday – Rs. 2.50 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 2.35 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 2.05 crore, Thursday – Rs. 1.75 crore. With the total for the weekdays being Rs. 8.65 crore, the film took its total for the first week to Rs. 28.15 crore. The distributors are expected to lose around Rs. 25 crore.
Dosti Zindabad bombed miserably in the first week.
Remember Amnesia (English) fared so badly in the first week that it would be best forgotten.
Frozen II (animation, dubbed) and the English original of the same name did quite well in 1st week. It started fairly well by collecting Rs. 3.50 crore on Friday. Collections doubled on Saturday (Rs. 7 crore). The total on Sunday was an even more impressive Rs. 8.50 crore. After a weekend total of Rs. 19 crore, collections during the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 1.75 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 1.55 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 1.50 crore, Thursday – Rs. 1.50 crore. In this way, the total for the weekdays was Rs. 6.30 crore. The grand total for the first week, therefore, was Rs. 25.30 crore.
Marjaavaan dropped markedly in its second week, as expected. It netted Rs. 1.10 crore on the first day of the second weekend. Collections on Saturday and Sunday were Rs. 1.55 crore and Rs. 2.15 crore respectively. The total for the second weekend, therefore, was Rs. 4.80 crore. Collections during the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 0.90 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 0.90 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.75 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.70 crore. By adding Rs. 3.25 crore to its kitty in the weekdays, it took its total for the second week to Rs. 8.05 crore. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 45.92 crore.
Bala added Rs. 7.07 crore to its kitty in the third weekend by collecting Rs. 1.35 crore on Friday, Rs. 2.50 crore on Saturday, and Rs. 3.22 crore on Sunday. The film netted Rs. 4.15 crore in the weekdays, thereby taking its total for the third week to Rs. 11.22 crore. Grand total for 3 weeks: Rs. 110.01 crore.
Housefull 4 netted Rs. 1.03 crore in the fifth week, taking its grand total for 5 weeks to Rs. 202.95 crore.
