Street Dancer 3D is disappointing. As against the expected Rs. 65-crore first week, it managed to collect only Rs. 52.75 crore. It started much lower than anticipated when the first day closed at Rs. 9.50 crore as against the expected Rs. 12-13 crore. Collections increased to Rs. 12.50 crore on Saturday, and further to Rs. 17 crore on Sunday. The Sunday jump was also because of Republic Day. After a first weekend of just Rs. 39 crore, collections during the weekdays were below the mark: Monday – Rs. 4.25 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 3.50 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 3.25 crore, Thursday – Rs. 2.75 crore. With the total for the weekdays being Rs. 13.75 crore, the total for the first week went up to Rs. 52.75 crore.
Panga found appreciation in the first week but collections remained very low. It started with a take of Rs. 1.75 crore on Friday. Collections more than doubled on Saturday which closed at Rs. 3.80 crore. The Sunday figure was Rs. 4.85 crore . After a disheartening total of Rs. 10.40 crore for the first weekend, collections were steady at low levels during the weekdays. It collected Rs. 1.30 crore on Monday, Rs. 1.20 crore on each of Tuesday and Wednesday, and Rs. 1.10 crore on Thursday. In this way, it added Rs. 4.80 crore to its kitty in the weekdays. Total for 1st week: only Rs. 15.20 crore.

Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior stood its ground in 3rd week also. Business in Maharashtra is historic. It collected Rs. 4.75 crore on Friday. Collections jumped to Rs. 8.50 crore on the second day of the third weekend, and to Rs. 11.50 crore on Sunday (Republic Day). After a third weekend total of Rs. 24.75 crore, collections on the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 3.75 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 3 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 2.90 crore, Thursday – Rs. 2.60 crore. By adding Rs. 12.25 crore to the kitty in the weekdays, the film took its third week’s total to Rs. 37 crore and its grand total for 3 weeks to Rs. 226.60 crore. In other words, it joined the Rs. 200-crore club on the 16th day!
Good Newwz collected Rs. 0.90 crore in the fifth weekend, and another Rs. 0.53 crore in the weekdays. By netting Rs. 1.43 crore to its kitty in the fifth week, it took its 5-week total to Rs. 202.44 crore.
