After other state governments ordered cinemas to close down as a safety step to check the spread of the coronavirus, the governments of Assam, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Uttar Pradesh also asked cinemas in their states to down shutters. In Uttar Pradesh, cinemas in several districts have been asked to down shutters. As of now, cinemas in most parts of the country are closed till 30th/31st March.
