SANJAY DUTT, SUNIL SHETTY JOIN FORCES WITH MINISTER TO FEED IMPOVERISHED DABBAWALAS | 16 July, 2020

Sanjay Dutt and Sunil Shetty are doing their bit to help the community of Bombay city’s dabbawalas who collect tiffin boxes of lakhs of office-goers from their homes everyday and deliver them to their offices so that they can eat home-cooked food. These 5,000-odd food carriers have exhausted all their savings and are facing terrible times during the COVID-19 lockdown. Many of them have returned to their native villages. Sanjay and Sunil have joined hands with Aslam Shaikh, cabinet minister, textiles, port, fisheries and guardian minister – Bombay city, to help these dabbawalas. Food trucks have been sent to Pune where several dabbawalas are currently living. The trio has a three-month plan in place so that each of the 5,000 tiffin carriers are looked after as far as their food requirements are concerned.
