TV SERIAL ‘BHAKARWADI’ UNIT MEMBER DIES OF COVID-19, SEVERAL OTHERS TEST POSITIVE | 30 July, 2020

A tailor working on the sets of producer J.D. Majethia’s TV serial, Bhakarwadi, passed away on 21st July due to the novel coronavirus. Some others later tested positive for the virus and have been quarantined. Shooting had to be suspended for a few days.

The tailor was working on the serial’s set till 10th July. He was asked by the nurse on the set to consult a doctor on 11th when he felt weak. He resumed work on 12th but sought leave on 13th to go to visit his family. The unit learnt later that he went in for the COVID-19 test on 20th and passed away on 21st. Around 70 unit members underwent the COVID-19 test thereafter, of which a few tested positive. They have been quarantined.
