Anurag Kashyap’s lawyer issued a press statement on 2nd October that Kashyap was in Sri Lanka throughout August 2013, the month in which starlet Payal Ghosh alleged, he sexually harassed and assaulted her. Kashyap provided documentary evidence to the Versova police in Bombay on 1st October when he was called for interrogation, to prove that he was in Sri Lanka and hence Payal’s claims were baseless.
Payal Ghosh had lodged a complaint against Kashyap on 21st September, alleging that in August 2013, Anurag had called her to his house and had sexually harassed her.
