The Bombay high court on 7th January reserved its judgement on a quashing petition filed by Sushant Singh Rajput’s sisters, Priyanka Singh and Meetu Singh. The two sisters were seeking orders to quash an FIR lodged at the Bandra (Bombay) police station by Sushant’s girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty, on September 7, 2020 against them and a doctor for allegedly procuring a fake prescription of anti-depressants for their brother and accusing them of thereby abetting his suicide on 14th June, 2020.
The counsel for the two sisters said that Rhea’s FIR was a “counter case” as she was being probed by the Central Bureau of Investigation over the point of abetment of suicide lodged by Sushant’s father. Other allegations were also made against Rhea, all of which were denied by Satish Maneshinde, counsel for Rhea.
The high court called for written submissions from all and reserved its order.
