FILM ASSOCIATIONS, INDIVIDUALS SWING INTO ACTION TO HELP CINE WORKERS | 21 April, 2021

Film trade associations have once again swung into action to help cine workers who have no work as shootings have been ordered to come to a halt in Maharashtra. The Federation of Western India Cine Employees is insisting that the producer on whose set any worker contracts the coronavirus, pays for the treatment of the worker. In his personal capacity, Manish Goswami (in picture), vice president, Film Producers’ Guild of India, has been distributing groceries among the daily-wage-earning cine workers.

Another heartening news is that Ketan Rawal, one of the biggest make-up van suppliers in Bollywood, has deployed about 10 of his vans at different spots in Bombay city, where they are being used by frontline workers to change, use the restrooms and for having meals.
