Veteran voice over artiste Surendra Bhatia passed away in Bombay today (29th April). He complained of uneasiness to his wife who was in the kitchen, and collapsed on the bed within two minutes, never to get up again. He died due to cardiac arrest. He was 64 and was hale and hearty. He is survived by a son, besides his wife. Sadly, his son, who is a pilot, is in Delhi and is infected with coronavirus because of which he could not come for the last rites which were, therefore, performed today by Bhatia’s neighbours.
Surendra Bhatia was a very well-known voice over artiste. He had also tried his hand at film production with Tom Dick And Harry and Tom Dick And Harry Returns. In the initial days of his entry into the entertainment and media industry, he had also acted in some films. Ever-smiling, Bhatia made friends easily because of his amiable nature. After freelancing for many years, he had started his own recording studios.
