Well-known litterateur Kausar Siddiqui (on left in picture above), father of writer-director Rumy Jafri (on right in photograph), was given the Sahitya Akademi award for 2021. The award was presented to him on 30th July in Calcutta. He won the award for his book, Chirag Phoolon Ke.
Since Kausar Siddiqui is 90 years old, the award was received on his behalf by a family member.
