THE RAJASAAB has not found appreciation. It didn’t even take an impressive initial yesterday (January 9). What’s worse is that the public reports were generally negative.  

Ikkis did very ordinary business in the first week. After netting Rs. 4.50 crore on the first day (Thursday, January 1), it collected Rs. 3 crore on Friday. Collections on Saturday and Sunday increased to Rs. 4 crore and Rs. 4.30 crore respectively. The small increase on Sunday underlined the fact that the reports were not up to the mark. After a first 4-day weekend of Rs. 15.80 crore, collections on the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 1.20 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 1.35 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 1 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.95 crore. With the total for the weekdays being Rs. 4.50 crore, the total for 1st week was Rs. 15.80 crore. If the 8-day week is considered, the total was Rs. 20.30 crore. Taking into account the block bookings on the first day (January 1), the 8-day total was Rs. 22.30 crore.

Azad Bharath turned out to be a disaster in the first week.

45 (dubbed) bombed in the first week all over.

Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri crashed in the second week. It netted Rs. 0.55 crore on the first day of the second weekend. Collections on Saturday and Sunday were Rs. 0.65 crore and Rs. 0.70 crore respectively. Therefore, the total for 2nd weekend was a meagre Rs. 1.90 crore. Collections for the weekdays were worse still: Monday – Rs. 0.30 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 0.30 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.25 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.20 crore. Hence the total for the weekdays was Rs. 1.05 crore. In this way, the second week closed at Rs. 2.95 crore. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 30.15 crore. If the block bookings of the first day (December 25) are taken into account, the grand total for 2 weeks was Rs. 32.65 crore.

Avatar: Fire And Ash (dubbed and the original English versions) dropped more than 50% in 3rd week, but still managed to net fairly nice collections. The third weekend started with a take of Rs. 4.25 crore. Collections on Saturday jumped to Rs. 5.75 crore. The total for Sunday was Rs. 6 crore. After a third weekend total of Rs. 16 crore, collections for the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 1.75 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 2 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 1.50 crore, Thursday – Rs. 1.25 crore. Therefore, the total for the weekdays was Rs. 6.50 crore. In this way, the third week closed at Rs. 22.50 crore. Grand total for 3 weeks: Rs. 189.55 crore.

Dhurandhar continued its victory march in 5th week also. The fifth weekend started with a net collection of Rs. 8.25 crore on Friday. Collections on Saturday jumped to Rs. 10.75 crore. The total for Sunday was again impressive at Rs. 12 crore. After a fantastic fifth weekend total of Rs. 31 crore, collections for the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 4 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 4 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 3.50 crore, Thursday – Rs. 3.50 crore. Therefore, the total for the weekdays closed at a fantastic Rs. 15 crore, taking the total for 5th week to Rs. 46 crore. Grand total for 5 weeks: Rs. 747.15 crore. If the block bookings of the first day are taken into account, the grand total for 5 weeks would be Rs. 752.15 crore. It needs to collect just about Rs. 14 crore more to outdo the biggest Hindi blockbuster ever, Pushpa: The Rule Part 2 (dubbed). In all probability, it will wear the crown at the end of the sixth weekend itself.

Zootopia 2 (animation; dubbed and the original English versions) added Rs. 1.25 crore to its kitty in the sixth week. Grand total for 6 weeks: Rs. 27.50 crore.

Krantijyoti Vidyalay Marathi Madhyam (Marathi) did well in the first week in Maharashtra.

Rappata (Marathi) failed to bring in the crowds in 1st week in Maharashtra.

Magic (Marathi) could not work its magic on the public anywhere in Maharashtra in its first week.

IKKIS opened to fair houses on Thursday (1st January) but the reports were not too encouraging. After a first day net total of Rs. 4.50 crore, collections dropped to Rs. 3.25 crore on Friday. Block bookings were done on the first day and taking those into account, the first day’s net total was Rs. 6.50 crore.

Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri did below average business in 1st week. After a slow start on Thursday (Christmas), the film netted only Rs. 4.50 crore on Friday. Collections on Saturday went up to Rs. 5.50 crore. The giveaway was the Sunday total (Rs. 5 crore) which was less than the Saturday total. After a three-day weekend total of only Rs. 15 crore, the film did not even show much improvement on New Year’s eve and New Year’s day! It netted as follows on the weekdays: Monday – Rs. 1.35 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 1.35 crore, Wednesday (New Year’s eve) – Rs. 1.50 crore, Thursday (New Year’s day) – Rs. 1.75 crore. With the total for the weekdays being Rs. 5.95 crore, the first week closed at Rs. 20.95 crore. Considering the collections of 8 days, the film’s total was Rs. 27.20 crore. Considering the block bookings on the first day (December 25), the total for 8 days was Rs. 29.70 crore.

Vrusshabha (dubbed) failed miserably in the first week.

Anaconda (dubbed and the original English versions) could not do too well in the first week. After a net total of Rs. 1.25 crore on the first day (Thursday, December 25), it netted only Rs. 2.50 crore from Friday to Sunday. The total for the weekdays was Rs. 1.25 crore, taking the grand total for 8 days to Rs. 5 crore.

Avatar: Fire And Ash (dubbed and the original English versions) did fairly well in the second week. It started the second week with a take of Rs. 9 crore on Friday. Collections on Saturday jumped to Rs. 11.50 crore. The total for Sunday was Rs. 12 crore. Therefore, the total for the second weekend was Rs. 32.50 crore. Collections for the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 6 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 6.30 crore, Wednesday (New Year’s eve) – Rs. 6.50 crore, Thursday (New Year’s day)- Rs. 7.75 crore. With the total for the weekdays being Rs. 26.55 crore, the second week closed at Rs. 59.05 crore. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 167.05 crore.

Dhurandhar continued its hold on the box-office like few films have in the past done. It started its fourth weekend with a net collection of Rs. 15 crore! Collections on Saturday increased to Rs. 19.50 crore. The total for Sunday was Rs. 21.25 crore. After an earth-shattering total of Rs. 55.75 crore in the fourth weekend, collections for the weekdays were again mesmerising: Monday – Rs. 10 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 10.75 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 9.90 crore, Thursday (New Year’s day) – Rs. 14.75 crore. Hence the total for the weekdays was an astounding Rs. 45.40 crore. In this way, the fourth week closed at Rs. 101.15 crore. Grand total for 4 weeks: Rs. 701.15 crore. If the block bookings of the first day are taken into account, the grand total for 4 weeks would come to Rs. 706.15 crore. It is around Rs. 60 crore away from surpassing the biggest Hindi blockbuster ever, Pushpa: The Rule Part 2 (dubbed).

Zootopia 2 (animation; dubbed and the original English versions) reaped the benefit of the festive Christmas season by doing better in its fifth week than the fourth week! It added Rs. 2.25 crore to its kitty in 5th week, taking its grand total for 5 weeks to Rs. 26.25 crore.

Gotya Gangster (Marathi) did poor in 1st week all over Maharashtra.

Durlabh Prasad Ki Dusri Shadi bombed in the first week all over.

Avatar: Fire And Ash (dubbed and the original English versions) did very well in the first week, joining the Rs. 100-crore club in just 7 days. It opened to good houses on Friday (December 19), collecting Rs. 18 crore. Collections on Saturday rose to Rs. 22 crore, and further to Rs. 24 crore on Sunday. After a first weekend total of Rs. 64 crore, collections for the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 9 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 9.75 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 11.25 crore, Thursday – Rs. 14 crore. With the total for the weekdays being Rs. 44 crore, the first week closed at Rs. 108 crore.

Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 crashed in the second week. It could manage to collect only Rs. 1.35 crore in 2nd week, taking its grand total for 2 weeks to Rs. 12.35 crore.

Dhurandhar continued its record-smashing run in the third week too. After joining the Rs. 400-crore club in 2 weeks, it joined the Rs. 500-crore and Rs. 600-crore clubs in the third week. It started the third weekend with a take of Rs. 22 crore on Friday. Collections shot up to Rs. 32 crore on Saturday, and further to Rs. 36 crore on Sunday. After netting Rs. 90 crore in the third weekend, collections for the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 17.50 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 18 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 19 crore, Thursday – Rs. 25.50 crore. Therefore, the total for the weekdays was a super-extraordinary Rs. 80 crore. In this way, the third week closed at Rs. 170 crore. Grand total for 3 weeks: Rs. 600 crore. Taking into account the block bookings of the first day, the grand total for 3 weeks would be Rs. 605 crore.

Zootopia 2 (animation; dubbed and the original English versions) collected Rs. 1 crore in the fourth weekend, and another Rs. 0.70 crore during the weekdays. Hence the fourth week closed at Rs. 1.70 crore. Grand total for 4 weeks: Rs. 24 crore.

Asha (Marathi) failed to make any mark at the box-office in Maharashtra in its first week.

Uttar (Marathi) was steady at medium collections in 2nd week in entire Maharashtra.

AVATAR: FIRE AND ASH opened to very good houses on Friday (December 19).

Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 did ordinary business in 1st week. It netted around Rs. 7 crore in the first weekend, and Rs. 4 crore during the weekdays, taking its total for the first week to Rs. 11 crore only.

Janki met with a disastrous fate in the first week.

Akhanda 2 (dubbed) fared miserably in the first week.

Dhurandhar wrote history by collecting better in the second week than in the first week — that too, after an earth-shattering first week! After netting Rs. 190 crore in 1st week, it collected Rs. 240 crore in 2nd week — a jump of Rs. 50 crore!! No other film in the history of more than 100 years of cinema has seen such a huge increase after a phenomenal first week. The second weekend started with a take of Rs. 32 crore (total for first Friday was Rs. 19 crore). Collections jumped to Rs. 50 crore on Saturday, and to Rs. 53 crore on Sunday. (The first Saturday and Sunday totals were Rs. 30 crore and Rs. 40 crore respectively.) After a second weekend total of Rs. 135 crore (as against a first weekend total of Rs. 89 crore), collections for the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 29 crore (first week: Rs. 22 crore), Tuesday – Rs. 29 crore (first week: Rs. 27 crore), Wednesday – Rs. 24.50 crore (first week: Rs. 26 crore), Thursday – Rs. 22.50 crore (first week: Rs. 26 crore). Hence the total for the weekdays was Rs. 105 crore (first week: Rs. 101 crore). In this way, the film netted Rs. 240 crore in 2nd week (first week total: Rs. 190 crore). Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 430 crore. Considering the block bookings of the first day, the grand total for 2 weeks would be Rs. 435 crore. Point to be noted is that the blockbuster has joined the Rs. 400-crore club in just two weeks. The third weekend started on an extraordinary note, with collections outdoing those of the first day’s collections of Avatar: Fire And Ash, the third film in the super-successful Hollywood franchise.

Tere Ishk Mein managed to do fair business in 3rd week despite the opposition of the super-successful Dhurandhar. It started its third weekend with a take of Rs. 0.85 crore on Friday. Collections on Saturday and Sunday went up to Rs. 1.40 crore and Rs. 1.50 crore respectively. After a third weekend total of Rs. 3.75 crore, collections for the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 0.35 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 0.45 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.35 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.35 crore. With the total for the weekdays being Rs. 1.50 crore, the third week closed at Rs. 5.25 crore. Grand total for 3 weeks: Rs. 106.28 crore.

Zootopia 2 (animation; dubbed and the original English versions) netted Rs. 3 crore in the third weekend, and another Rs. 1.80 crore during the weekdays. Therefore, the total for 3rd week was Rs. 4.80 crore. Grand total for 3 weeks: Rs. 22.30 crore.

Uttar (Marathi) did very ordinary in 1st week in entire Maharashtra.

Kairee (Marathi) fared poorly in 1st week all over Maharashtra.

The Dhurandhar wave has swept the industry. The pattern of its performance at the ticket windows is of the kind never seen before! Collections on Wednesday and Thursday were better than the collections on Monday, and even Saturday, at places. The second weekend has started on such a high note that it looks like the film will turn out to be one of the biggest Hindi blockbuster ever. Believe it or faint but the second weekend will be better than the first, which itself was humongous!! It should be no surprise if the second week’s total exceeds that of the first week by probably Rs. 35-40 crore, maybe more, because the film seems to be unstoppable. As predicted last week in our review, ladies are also patronising the film — and in a big, big way — despite the gruesome violence. The film netted Rs. 19 crore on the first day. Collections jumped to Rs. 30 crore on Saturday, and further to Rs. 40 crore on Sunday. In this way, the first weekend closed at Rs. 89 crore. Collections during the weekdays were nothing short of extraordinary: Monday – Rs. 22 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 27 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 26 crore, Thursday – Rs. 26 crore. Hence the total for the weekdays was a whopping Rs. 101 crore. Therefore, the first week closed at Rs. 190 crore. If the block bookings on the first day are taken into account, the first week’s total would be Rs. 195 crore.

Tere Ishk Mein did well in 2nd week, too, in spite of the formidable opposition of Dhurandhar. It joined the Rs. 100-crore club on the 14th day. The second weekend started with a take of Rs. 3.25 crore. Collections on Saturday and Sunday went up to Rs. 4.90 crore and Rs. 5.10 crore respectively. After a second weekend total of Rs. 13.25 crore, collections for the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 1.85 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 2.15 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 1.50 crore, Thursday – Rs. 1.25 crore. WIth the total for the weekdays being Rs. 6.75 crore, the second week closed at Rs. 20 crore. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 101.03 crore.

Zootopia 2 (animation; dubbed and the original English versions) did quite well in the second week too. It added Rs. 4 crore to its kitty in the second weekend, and another Rs. 2.50 crore during the weekdays. Hence the total for 2nd week was Rs. 6.50 crore. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 17.50 crore.

De De Pyaar De 2 managed to stay afloat in 4th week. It netted Rs. 0.80 crore in the fourth weekend, and an additional Rs. 0.45 crore during the weekdays. Therefore, the total for the fourth week was Rs. 1.25 crore. Grand total for 4 weks: Rs. 70 crore.

Asurvan (Marathi) fared miserably in the first week all over Maharashtra.

This week’s DHURANDHAR opened big. It has brought huge smiles on the faces of the trade people.

Tere Ishk Mein did extremely well in 1st week. The film took a flying start with a net collection of Rs. 15.06 crore on Friday. Considering that this was a solo Dhanush starrer, the figure was rather impressive. Collections on Saturday increased to Rs. 16.57 crore. The jump on Sunday was more pronounced as the day closed at Rs. 18.32 crore. In this way, the total for the first weekend was a fantastic Rs. 49.95 crore. Collections for the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 8.39 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 10.01 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 6.89 crore, Thursday – Rs. 5.79 crore. With the total for the weekdays being Rs. 31.08 crore, the first week closed at Rs. 81.03 crore. The film will join the Rs. 100-crore club before the second week is completed.

Gustaakh Ishq met with a very poor response from the public in 1st week. It could barely collect Rs. 1 crore in the entire week.

Fakeeriyat performed badly in the first week all over.

Mastiii 4 crashed horrendously in 2nd week. It added less than Rs. 1 crore to its kitty in the second week. Actually, the total for 2nd week was only Rs. 0.75 crore. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 11 crore.

120 Bahadur is in its last lap. It performed poorly in 2nd week. It netted Rs. 1.75 crore in the second weekend, and an additional Rs. 1 crore during the weekdays. Hence the total for 2nd week was only Rs. 2.75 crore. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 15.25 crore.

De De Pyaar De 2 managed to survive in the third week. It started the third weekend with a take of Rs. 0.80 crore. Collections on Saturday and Sunday increased to Rs. 1.35 crore and Rs. 1.40 crore respectively. After a third weekend total of Rs. 3.55 crore, collections for the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 0.40 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 0.55 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.40 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.35 crore. With the total for the weekdays being Rs. 1.70 crore, the third week closed at Rs. 5.25 crore. Grand total for 3 weeks: Rs. 68.75 crore.

Asa Mee Ashi Mee (Marathi) flopped in the first week all over Maharashtra.

The impressive opening of TERE ISHK MEIN yesterday (28th November) brought cheer in the trade. The day closed at Rs. 15.04 crore.

Mastiii 4 flopped in the first week because of over-the-top vulgarity, weak comedy and the lack of freshness in the three heroes who look old and tired in the film. The first day saw the comedy franchise film collect Rs. 2.40 crore. Collections on Saturday reduced to Rs. 2.10 crore while the total for Sunday was Rs. 2.30 crore. After a first weekend total of Rs. 6.80 crore, collections for the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 0.95 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 1.15 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.75 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.60 crore. With the total for the weekdays being Rs. 3.45 crore, the first week closed at Rs. 10.25 crore.

120 Bahadur did dull business in 1st week because of lack of patriotic emotions in the film. After netting only Rs. 0.10 crore in very limited paid previews for a single day on Tuesday (18th November), the film netted Rs. 2 crore on Friday. Collections on Saturday increased to Rs. 3.15 crore, and on Sunday to Rs. 3.55 crore. After a first weekend (including paid previews) total of Rs. 8.80 crore, collections on the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 0.95 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 1.30 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.75 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.70 crore. Hence the total for the weekdays was Rs. 3.70 crore. Therefore, the film ended its first week at Rs.12.50 crore.

Sisu: Road To Revenge (dubbed and the original English versions) failed to do anything worthwhile in the first week. It collected just Rs. 1 crore in the entire week.

De De Pyaar De 2 dropped around 65% in the second week after an ordinary first week. Its second weekend started with a take of Rs. 2.25 crore. Collections on Saturday and Sunday were Rs. 4.20 crore and Rs. 4.45 crore respectively. After a second weekend total of Rs. 10.90 crore, collections for the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 1.50 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 1.75 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 1.25 crore, Thursday – Rs. 1.10 crore. Hence the total for the weekdays was Rs. 5.60 crore. In this way, the second week closed at Rs. 16.50 crore. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 63.50 crore.

Haq is out of most of the cinemas after a 3-week uneventful run. It added only Rs. 1.25 crore to its kitty in the third week. Grand total for 3 weeks: Rs. 19.75 crore.

Laalo: Krishna Sada Sahaayate (Gujarati) was super-strong in 7th week also. It has surpassed the total net collections of every Gujarati film released so far. It is still drawing huge crowds to the cinemas. The film’s seventh weekend started with a take of Rs. 1.90 crore on Friday. Collections jumped to Rs. 3.40 crore on Saturday, and further to Rs. 4.70 crore on Sunday. After a seventh weekend total of Rs. 10 crore, collections for the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 1.50 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 1.80 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 1.40 crore, Thursday – Rs. 1.20 crore. With the total for the weekdays being Rs. 5.90 crore, the seventh week closed at Rs. 15.90 crore. Grand total for 7 weeks: Rs. 79.40 crore.

Both the new releases — MASTIII 4 and 120 BAHADUR — of this week opened to dull houses. With the public reports also being dull, the two films are set for uneventful runs at the box-office.

De De Pyaar De 2 could not find much pyaar from the paying public in the first week. The film netted Rs. 8.25 crore on the first day. Collections increased to Rs. 11.50 crore on Saturday. The increase on Sunday was just a little more than 10% over Saturday. With the Sunday figure being Rs. 12.85 crore, the film collected Rs. 32.60 crore in the first weekend. Collections for the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 3.85 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 4.50 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 3.20 crore, Thursday – Rs. 2.85 crore. Hence the total for the weekdays was Rs. 14.40 crore. In this way, the first week closed at Rs. 47 crore.

Agra bombed in 1st week all over India.

Hi Zindagi could not do anything worthwhile at the ticket counters in the first week.

2020 Delhi performed very poorly in 1st week.

Kaal Trighori met with a disastrous fate in the first week.

In this way, the total for the second weekend was only Rs. 3.05 crore. The film collected as follows during the weekdays: Monday – Rs. 0.35 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 0.45 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.35 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.30 crore. So the total for the weekdays was an unimpressive Rs. 1.45 crore. Therefore, the second week closed at Rs. 4.50 crore. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 18.50 crore.

Predator Badlands (dubbed and the original English versions) collections fell more than 75% in 2nd week. The film managed to net Rs. 1.50 crore in the second weekend, and another Rs. 0.70 crore during the weekdays. Hence the second week closed at Rs. 2.20 crore. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 12.20 crore.

The Taj Story dropped about 75% in the third week. The film netted Rs. 1.90 crore in 3rd week. Grand total for 3 weeks: Rs. 20.30 crore.

Thamma managed to net very ordinary collections in its fourth week. It netted Rs. 0.80 crore in the fourth weekend, and an additional Rs. 0.45 crore during the weekdays, taking its total for the fourth week to Rs. 1.25 crore. Grand total for 4 weeks: Rs. 138.12 crore.

Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat added about Rs. 1.20 crore to its kitty in the fourth week. Grand total for 4 weeks: Rs. 80 crore.

Gondhal (Marathi) netted poor collections in the first week in Maharashtra.

Reel Star (Marathi) fared badly in 1st week all over Maharashtra.

Laalo: Krishna Sada Sahaayate (Gujarati) continued its victory march in 6th week too. It commenced its sixth weekend with a net collection of Rs. 2.80 crore on Friday. Collections shot up to Rs. 4.50 crore on Saturday. The total for Sunday was a whopping Rs. 6.50 crore. Therefore, the total for the sixth weekend was an unbelievable Rs. 13.80 crore. The initial of this week’s new release, DE DE PYAAR DE 2, failed to bring cheer to the trade which was hoping that the franchise film would set the cash registers ringing. A total of less than Rs. 9 crore on the opening day for the sequel is below expectations… Last week’s HAQ won acclaim from the public but the collections did not match the praise, implying that a lot of people simply did not go to watch the film.

Haq found appreciation in the first week but the box-office collections did not match the public reports. The film netted Rs. 1.75 crore on the first day. Collections almost doubled on Saturday so that the day closed at Rs. 3.35 crore. The total for Sunday was Rs. 3.85 crore. In this way, the first weekend’s total was Rs. 8.95 crore. Collections for the weekdays were pretty steady: Monday – Rs. 1.05 crore, Tuesday – Rs.1.75 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 1.15 crore, Thursday – Rs. 1.10 crore. With the total for the weekdays being Rs. 5.05 crore, the first week closed at Rs. 14 crore.

Hello Knoch Knock Kaun Hai? turned out to be a debacle in the first week all over.

Jatadhara (dubbed) fared poorly in the first week all over. It could not even manage a net collection total of Rs. 1 crore for the entire first week.

The Girlfriend (dubbed) met with a disastrous fate at the turnstiles in the first week.

Predator Badlands (dubbed and the original English versions) did quite well in 1st week. It netted around Rs. 6.50 crore in the first weekend, and another Rs. 3.50 crore during the weekdays. Therefore, the total for the first week was Rs. 10 crore.

The Taj Story was quite steady in the second week. It collected approximately Rs. 4.50 crore in the second weekend. Collections for the weekdays totalled around Rs. 2.90 crore. Hence  the total for 2nd week was Rs. 7.40 crore. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 18.40 crore.

Thamma is in its last lap. It started its third weekend with a take of Rs. 0.90 crore on Friday. Collections for Saturday and Sunday increased to Rs. 1.55 crore and Rs. 1.60 crore respectively. Therefore, the total for the third weekend was Rs. 4.05 crore. Collections for the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 0.50 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 0.65 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.40 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.40 crore. In this way, the total for the weekdays was Rs. 1.95 crore. So the total for 3rd week was Rs. 6 crore. Grand total for 3 weeks: Rs. 136.87 crore.

Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat is on its way out. It started its third weekend with a net collection of Rs. 0.85 crore on Friday. Collections on Saturday went up to Rs. 1.25 crore, and further to Rs. 1.50 crore on Sunday. After a third weekend total of Rs. 3.60 crore, collections for the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 0.60 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 0.70 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.50 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.45 crore. Hence the total for the weekdays was Rs. 2.25 crore, and the total for 3rd week was Rs. 5.85 crore. Grand total for 3 weeks: Rs. 78.80 crore.

Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1 (dubbed) added Rs. 3 crore to its kitty in its sixth week. Hence the grand total for 6 weeks was Rs. 223.54 crore.

Abhang Tukaram (Marathi) did not do well at the box-office in 1st week all over Maharashtra.

Kadhipatta (Marathi) fared miserably in the first week in entire Maharashtra.

Teen Paayancha Ghoda (Marathi) failed to make a connection with the audience in the first week in Maharashtra.

Chaniya Toli (Gujarati) did fair business in 3rd week in Gujarat and Saurashtra.

Laalo: Krishna Sada Sahaayate (Gujarati) is unstoppable! After netting Rs. 13.20 crore in 4 weeks, it started the fifth weekend with net collection of Rs. 2.30 crore on Friday. Collections for Saturday and Sunday were historic: Rs. 4.70 crore and Rs. 7.10 crore respectively. The total for the fifth weekend was, therefore, Rs. 14.10 crore — more than the total for the first 3 weeks!! The weekdays recorded the following collections: Monday – Rs. 2.20 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 3 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 3.50 crore, Thursday – Rs. 3 crore. Hence the total for the weekdays was Rs. 11.70 crore. In this way, the total for 5th week was Rs. 25.80 crore. Grand total for 5 weeks: Rs. 39 crore.

LAALO: KRISHNA SADA SAHAAYATE (Gujarati) and ROI ROI BINALE (Assamese) are killing it at the box-office. They have left behind all the running Hindi films too, in the box-office race! LAALO…, now in its fifth week, is marching from glory to glory and is destined to become the biggest ever blockbuster of Gujarati cinema. Its collections picked up from the 21st day and what started at a few lakh rupees per day is now netting in crores every day! By the end of the fourth week, it had crossed the Rs. 13-crore mark. ROI ROI BINALE has already turned out to be the biggest Assamese blockbuster at the end of the first week, surpassing the entire lifetime’s collections of the previous biggest blockbuster, SRI RAGHUPATI.

Collections jumped to Rs. 2.25 crore on Saturday, and further to Rs. 3.10 crore on Sunday. Therefore, the first weekend closed at Rs. 6.45 crore. Collections for the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 0.95 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 1.35 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 1.40 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.85 crore. In this way, the total for the weekdays was Rs. 4.55 crore. Therefore, the first week closed at an impressive Rs. 11 crore.

Well Done Aai (Marathi) did not do well in 1st week in Maharashtra.

Premachi Goshta 2 (Marathi) dropped markedly in the second week all over Maharashtra and did below-average business.

With the total for the weekays being Rs. 8.85 crore, the fourth week closed at Rs. 12.08 crore. Grand total for 4 weeks: Rs. 13.20 crore. The film is all set to break the records of every past Gujarati film and emerge as the biggest blockbuster of Gujarati cinema! The public is repeating the film in a big way!!
