Paradise cinema, one of the iconic single-screen cinemas of Calcutta, is tipped to be on the verge of permanent closure. After Elite and Roxy, it is time for Paradise at Esplanade in Calcutta to down shutters, it seems. The owners of Paradise cinema have not made any formal announcement to this effect but Bell Bottom, which was to be released there on 19th August, did not open at the cinema, further fuelling talks that a closure is on the cards.
