COURT RESTRAINS SELF-STYLED CRITIC KRK FROM ‘DEFAMING’ SUPERSTAR SALMAN KHAN | 24 June, 2021

The Bombay city civil court judge, C.V. Marathe, yesterday (June 23) temporarily restrained actor and self-styled film critic Kamaal R. Khan from making any statements, videos, posts or reposting and republishing any defamatory content against Salman Khan, his family and production company. “Reputation and honour are no less precious to good men than bodily safety and freedom,” the judge remarked while passing the restraint order.

Salman had filed an application to restrain KRK and nine others from making defamatory posts or publications, including about his fllm, Radhe. His counsel, Pradeep Gandhy, submitted that there was no restriction on commenting on a film or performance of a cast member but personal allegations against Salman were baseless. KRK’s counsel tried hard to convince the court otherwise but failed.
