At least five small-time actresses were among the 12 women held by the Nasik rural police yesterday (June 27) morning for allegedly consuming drugs at two villas in Igatpuri. One of the actresses had participated in a popular TV reality show and two others are choreographers. A total of 22 people from Bombay were detained.
According to the police, a team went to the two bungalows and found the entire group of 22 people in an intoxicated state. Drugs were also recovered from the two villas. After interrogation of the group members, the rural police picked up a Nigerian from Bombay for allegedly supplying drugs to the group. All the 22 were sent for medical examination and an offence was registered against them. The legal process of arresting them will start now.
