Producer Jayantilal Gada, who recently got a pacemaker fitted in his chest, is doing well at home. The financier/producer/ joint producer/distributor of such films as Gangubai Kathiawadi, RRR and Bellbottom was reportedly not keeping well since some time. A seven-day holter monitor detected the problem and the doctors advised the fitting of a pacemaker which Gada got done at Hinduja Hospital, Khar, Bombay.
Information spoke to Jayantibhai Gada, who is one of those at the forefront in trying to revive the industry after the pandemic (how else do you explain that he has acquired the theatrical rights of the super-expensive RRR ?), and he sounded cheerful when he said, “I am doing perfectly well after the pacemaker has been fitted. All my earlier tests, ECGs. 2d Echos, scans etc. had failed to detect what was wrong with me. It was the holter monitor which detected that the blood supply to my heart was erratic. Thankfully, it was detected in time and we acted as per the doctor’s advice.”
Gada’s son, Dhaval, added, “The procedure was done on the night of 16th July. The news of dad collapsing in the office is nothing but a figment of the imagination of the journalist who wrote that news. There is absolutely no truth in it.”
