83 (Hindi and all dubbed versions) did not reap much benefit of the absence of new releases last week. Most of the benefit went to Pushpa: The Rise Part 1. The second weekend of 83 started with a net collection of Rs. 4.36 crore on Friday. Collections increased to Rs. 7.73 crore on Saturday but there was no jump on Sunday. In fact, the total for Sunday (Rs. 7.31 crore) was less than that on Saturday. In this way, the second weekend closed at Rs. 19.40 crore. Collections for the weekdays were quite disappointing: Monday – Rs. 2.01 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 1.52 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 1.12 crore, Thursday – Rs. 1.08 crore. Therefore, the total for the weekdays was an unimpressive Rs. 5.73 crore. Total for 2nd week: Rs. 25.13 crore. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 97 crore.
Spider-Man: No Way Home (original English and Hindi, Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions) did very well in the third weekend too, crossing the Rs. 200-crore mark and becoming the biggest hit of 2021. The third weekend started with a net collection of Rs. 3 crore on the first day. Collections jumped to Rs. 4.92 crore on Saturday. The total on Sunday was Rs. 4.75 crore. So, the third weekend closed at Rs. 12.67 crore, taking the total for 18 days (it was released on Thursday, hence the first week was of 8 days) to Rs. 202.34 crore. Collections for the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 1.25 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 1.10 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.90 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.78 crore. In this way, the total for the weekdays was Rs. 4.03 crore. Total for 3rd week: Rs. 16.70 crore. Grand total for 3 weeks: Rs. 206.37 crore.
Pushpa: The Rise Part 1 (dubbed) did outstanding business in North India in the third week too. It reaped the maximum benefit of the absence of new releases last week. It collected Rs. 3.21 crore on the first day of the third weekend, and, therefore, crossed the Rs. 50-crore mark by taking the 15-day total to Rs. 51.09 crore. Collections shot up to Rs. 5.69 crore on Saturday. The Sunday total (Rs. 6.14 crore) was the highest single-day collection of the film since the day it released!! Such a phenomenal growth on the 17th day is unprecedented. In this way, the third weekend’s total of Rs. 15.04 crore was almost one-and-a-half times the second weekend’s total (Rs. 10.10 crore) and better than the first weekend’s total (Rs. 13.31 crore)! Collections for the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 2.74 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 2.37 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 2.14 crore, Thursday – Rs. 1.94 crore. So, the total for the weekdays was Rs. 9.19 crore. Total for 3rd week: Rs. 24.23 crore. Point to note is that the third week’s total (Rs. 24.23 crore) is better than the second week’s total (19.79 crore). Grand total for 3 weeks: Rs. 72.11 crore.
