A sessions court in Bombay recently denied producer Yogesh Singh bail. The 32-year-old was accused of stabbing model-actress Malvi Malhotra at Andheri in Bombay in October last year. He was arrested soon thereafter. The sessions court said that the offence was serious and there was every possibility that the accused might tamper with prosecution witnesses and evidence if released on bail.
Malvi was on her way home on 26th October, 2020, when Yogesh Singh allegedly tried to talk to her. But when she refused, he took out a knife and stabbed her three to four times on her stomach. As she tried to protect herself from the attack, she sustained injuries on her hand, and had to be hospitalised. Yogesh Singh was booked for stalking and attempt to murder.
