Hrithik Roshan lost his maternal grandfather, veteran filmmaker J. Om Prakash, on 7th August. The handsome actor lit the funeral pyre as that was how J. Omji had wanted. The 92-year-old producer-director had specifically told his near and dear ones to not publicise the news of his death, whenever it occurred, and was also keen that they did not have a prayer meeting in his memory. That explains why there was no chautha or prayer meeting after the demise.
Hrithik was present through the last rites of J. Om Prakash, but the actor is now laid up in bed with excruciating pain in his lower back. Although he is recuperating at home, it will take a couple of more days for Hrithik to be up and about.
