Leading C.I. distributors Sunil Enterprises, Indore, have done their bit for the local film representatives who are locked down like the rest of India. Since cinemas are closed, these representatives are out of job for the present. The Janiani family, which owns Sunil Enterprises, has deposited a month’s allowance into the bank accounts of all the film representatives, coolies and hamaals of the entire circuit. While the top stars and film producers in Bombay are doing their bit for the out-of-work daily-wage cine workers, nobody had thought of the local film reps and menial workers of the various circuits. Deepak and Harish Janiani are the first in India to have made a heartfelt gesture towards representatives who’ve served them over the years.
