Producer Nikhil Advani’s Marjaavaan has a new release date. It will come to the cinemas on 22nd November, 2019. The Ritesh Deshmukh and Sidharth Malhotra starrer was announced as a Gandhi Jayanti release but the producers had to find a new release date when Yash Raj Films declared that its War would hit the screens on that day. The 2nd October holiday is considered a big one when collections at the box-office see an upsurge. It was to take advantage of the national holiday that Advani had finalised his film’s release on that day. But it didn’t make commercial sense to have the film pitted against War, starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff. Considering the big star cast and the huge canvas of the action drama, Aditya Chopra is bound to give War a very wide release, making it even more imperative for Nikhil Advani to postpone the release of his Marjaavaan to some other date. He has, therefore, shifted the release of the film, directed by Milap Milan Zaveri, to November 22.
Besides War, directed by Siddharth Anand, the dubbed version of Syeraa Narasimha Reddy will also release on 2nd October.
