RANJEETA’S HUSBAND WITHDRAWS COMPLAINT AGAINST ACTRESS, SON | 1 June, 2019

A day after yesteryear actress Ranjeeta’s husband accused her and their son of assaulting, threatening and extorting money from him, the family declared that all was well between them. Ranjeeta’s husband, Raj Ratan Masand, further announced that his application to the senior citizens’ cell of the Pune police was just the outcome of a heated discussion. The 68-year-old Masand had, in his complaint last week, alleged that Ranjeeta and their son, Sky (28), had tried to push him off their fourth-floor balcony in the upscale Atur Park Housing Society. Masand had been making the rounds of police establishments over the past few days to lodge a complaint of abuse and threat to his life.
In his complaint, Raj alleged that his wife and son were engaged in a property dispute with him. Although he feared for his life, he added later that the police counselled them and helped them sort out their differences.
Raj used to reside in the US since many years and ran a chain of stores there. Ranjeeta also moved there in 2007 and helped her husband in the business. Raj returned to Pune to be with the family a month back. In his application to the senior citizens’ cell of the Pune police, he had alleged that on 23rd May, his wife and son had thrashed him, torn his shirt and tried to push him off the balcony. He contended that the duo had been troubling him for money and had resorted to abuse when he had refused to comply. The police had then filed an occurrence report for voluntarily causing hurt, insulting a person and criminal intimidation. Masand had filed another application alleging that his son had resumed his threats after learning that he had approached the police. The man had instructed the police to file a case under Maintenance And Welfare Of Parents And Senior Citizens Act. He had also wanted to file an FIR.
