Grand Way Productions’ Dil Deewana Ho Gaya (UA) is a love triangle. It deals with love, sacrifice, trust, misunderstanding, destiny and more. It explores different emotions through the lives of Rahul (Bhanuj Sood), Naina (Kajal Chauhan) and Raj (Shubhkaran Bhopal).
Chand Kumar’s story is not interesting enough to arrest the viewers’ attention. Rajiv Shamlal Soni has penned a screenplay which is half-baked. Consequently, the drama hardly warms the cockles of the heart. Both, the romance and the emotions, fail to touch the heart. Hardev Singh’s dialogues are routine.
Bhanuj Sood is ordinary as Rahul. Kajal Chauhan is not impressive as Naina. Shubhkaran Bhopal is below the mark in the role of Raj. Raju Kher lends weak support as Naina’s father. Mushtaq Khan, Brij Gopal, Mehul Buch and Aroon Bakshi are adequate. Others barely pass muster.
Rajiv Shamlal Soni’s direction is dull. Vishnu Narayan’s music and background music are weak. Lyrics (by Rishi Azad, Saani Aslam and Vishnu Narayan) are functional. Dilip Krishna Mestry’s choreography is ordinary. Jatin Prajapati’s camerawork is so-so. Editing (by Pankaj Sapkale) leaves something to be desired.
On the whole, Dil Deewana Ho Gaya will not get the love of the audience.
