‘RAJNI KI BARAAT’ REVIEW | 29 May, 2026

Epiphany Distribution and Epiphany Entertainment’s Rajni Ki Baraat (UA) is the story of a bold woman who organises her own wedding procession after her boyfriend’s egoistic father forces him into another marriage.

Subhash Chander’s story is okay but it fails to engage the viewers. Aditya Aman and Anupam Purohit’s screenplay is fair at places but below the mark at other places. Overall, the drama doesn’t entertain much because it becomes routine and even predictable at many points. The duo’s dialogues should’ve been far more entertaining.

Ulka Gupta is so-so as Rajni. Ashwath Bhatt is alright as Daroga Malkhan Singh. Sunita Rajwar plays Maa with conviction. Zarina Wahab makes her mark as Dadi. Kanishk Vijay is so-so as Rajjan. Eshita Singh lends ordinary support as Radha. Others pass muster.

Aditya Aman’s direction is weak. Bapi Bhattacharya’s music is average. Lyrics (Aditya Aman and Damodar Vyas) are functional. Bapi Bhattacharya and Adrijo Bhattacharya’s background music should’ve been better. Aarup Mondal’s cinematography is fair. Manoj P. Mishra’s production designing is of average standard. Anuradha Singh’s editing is loose.

On the whole, Rajni Ki Baraat is a non-starter.

Released on 29-5-’26 at Gem (daily 1 show) and another cinema of Bombay by Epiphany Distribution thru White Lion Entertainment. Publicity & opening: poor. …….Also released all over. Opening was weak everywhere.
